Vaughna the Cuthbertine

History: At a young age Vaughna was brought to the Chapel of the Cudgel by a member of the Undefeated. Where he found her, the circumstances surrounding the whole situation, and who brought her to the Chapel that would set the course of her life there after, are unknown to her. Her memories of that time, and indeed of her life before being brought to the Chapel on the Undefeated’s grounds, are vague, and seem almost as if they had happened to someone else in a different life.
The Chaplin, Sir Valin Redmeir (a paladin turned priest), over saw the instruction and discipline of the wild half-orc child. In the early years the guidance of the cudgel was administered often. “Obstinancy brings lumps to the heads of the unfaithful,” quote Father Redmeir, and as she grew stronger and taller so did she grow more pious and wise. She strove to become more civilized, more human.
Diligent in her studies, prayers, training, chores, and duties Vaughna even committed the Law of St. Cuthbert to memory. She even branded the palm of her left hand with the starburst insignia as a permanent testament of her faith.
Vaughna’s hard work and dedication to the Saint and the Chapel were rewarded when, at the age of sixteen, she was given her vestments, made a member of the clergy, and was inducted into the Billets.
After achieving so much she did not grow lax, but began training and conditioning herself in hopes of also being brought into the Undefeated like Sir Redmeir and so many others of the Chapel. This goal has since been realized, and she is now a proud full Sister in the ranks of the hero guild and a member of the Order of the Cudgel.
